Abstract

This service program aims to overcome the problem the lack of mastery of class X students at SMKN 1 South Bulango in simple English writing skills. According to the previous situation analysis, there is an issue of minimal mastery of vocabulary, which on average are less than 100 words acquired by them from junior high school level. The solution to overcome this problem is that the implementer carried out a perseverance to teaching writing skills with congratulations material in class X Nursing Assistant Department A using eclectic, direct methods and group competition techniques in class, and PBL. The results were obtained from 10 students, there were 3 students with category A grades (2 students remained at Grade A and 1 student improved from B+ to A), 5 students with category B grades (1 student remained at B+ and 4 students improved from grades C to B), and 2 students with grades C category (2 students settled on grade C).
